The Easiest Banana Cake recipe you will ever come across that you can make in just one bowl. This is my personal favourite!

Ingredients
- 2 large bananas (fully ripened)
- 1½ cups (195g) refined flour/maida
- ¾ cup (150g) powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup (80ml) oil (any flavourless)
- ¼ cup (60ml) milk
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 eggs

Steps In Making
- Preheat the oven at 160C (320F) for 10 minutes, placing the rack in the center of the oven. Now grease a loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3 inch with butter and line it with a parchment paper and keep it aside.
- In a large bowl add fully ripened bananas and mash them with the help of a fork or potato masher.
- Now add powdered sugar and oil and with the help of a whisk mix till everything is well combined.
- Further add eggs and vanilla extract and mix till well incorporated.
- Sieve the refined flour and baking powder and gently fold it into the liquid ingredients.
- Now add milk and mix just until combined. Do not over mix.
- Pour the banana cake batter in the prepared loaf pan. Now bake it in a preheated oven for 55-60 minutes at 160C or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool on the wire rack for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
- Now with the help of a sharp knife slice the delicious banana cake.
- Serve warm or cold. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for upto 10 days.
Recipe Notes
- All ingredients used in this recipe should be at room temperature.
- After adding the flour don’t over beat the batter, else the cake might turn hard.
- Bake the cake on bake mode and place it in the center rack so it gets even heat from all sides.
- Adding oil in this banana cake recipe gives it a nice moist texture, even in the refrigerator it will remain moist.
Step By Step In Pictures For Banana Cake

7. Mix till everything is well combined.
8. Sieve the refined flour and baking soda before adding it in the liquid ingredients.
9. Gently fold the refined flour.
10. Now add milk.
11. Gently mix for one last time.
12. Pour the banana cake batter in a loaf pan which is greased with butter and lined with parchment paper.
13. Tap to remove any air bubbles and bake it in the oven at 160C for around 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
16. Let the cake cool on the wire rack for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
17. Now with the help of a sharp knife slice the delicious banana cake.

Why did u not add baking powder to the cake?
Because the recipe doesn’t need it.

Are u using baking soda or baking powder? In ingredients u have written baking soda and in the recipe with pictures u have mentioned baking powder. Pls clarify.

In the recipe video and ingredients both it’s mentioned baking soda only. There is no mention of baking powder at all anywhere.
