Fried rice is a simple, quick and easy recipe that can be made in 5 minutes. It’s one of the most loved rice recipes in India and goes very well with all the Manchurian gravies.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil, sunflower or canola
- 1 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
- ¼ cup carrots, finely chopped
- ¼ cup cabbage, finely chopped
- ¼ cup capsicum, finely chopped
- ¼ cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
- ¼ cup yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 large bowl boiled rice
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soya sauce
- ½ teaspoons black pepper powder
- salt to taste
- spring onion for garnishing

Steps In Making
- Place a pan over high flame and add oil in it. Now let it turn hot.
- Add finely chopped ginger and garlic and saute for a minute.
- Further add all the vegetables, carrots, cabbage, capsicum, red and yellow bell peppers and let them cook for a minute. Do not over cook for long. The vegetables should have a crunchy texture.
- Now add the boiled rice and mix well.
- Further add white vinegar, soy sauce, black pepper powder and salt. Mix till everything is well combined.
- Cook for a minute and then switch off the flame.
- Serve hot with your favourite gravy.
Recipe Notes
- Make sure all the vegetables are finely chopped else they will take longer time to cook and will become soggy.
- Do not over cook the vegetables, they should have a crunch and bite in them. Cook them for only a minute.
- You can increase or decrease the vinegar and soy sauce as per your taste.
