Ingredients For Peanut Butter

  • 1 ¼ cup (180g) roasted peanuts*
  • 2 tablespoon: vegetable oil (canola, sunflower or any flavourless oil)
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Main Equipments Used

  • High Power Mixer Grinder – I use Preethi Zodiac (750-watt). You can find it on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2DbrsH8

Steps In Making Peanut Butter

  1. Put the roasted peanuts in a blender and blend for 30 seconds. Remove the lid and scrape the sides properly
  2. Now add the oil and honey and blend for another 30 seconds or till it forms a smooth paste
  3. Let it cool down completely and then store it in an air tight container in the refrigerator. It will last for around 3 months.

Recipe Notes For Peanut Butter

  • *Dry roast the peanuts in a pan for around 5-8 minutes till they become slightly golden brown. Once done, sprinkle them with a pinch of salt.
  • If your peanut butter becomes thick after couple of weeks, you can always add a tablespoon of oil and blend it once again, it will become smooth.
  • I am using a 700 Watt mixer grinder which is powerful enough to grind this in just 1 minute.

Hey Aarti, thanks for all your wonderful descriptive recipes! Helps a lot.
Had a query, for peanut butter, is there any ither alternative for honey??

    • Aarti Madan

      Hey Khushboo,
Thank you so much, glad you are enjoying the recipes.
Well you can replace honey with maple syrup or agave. This adds very mild sweetness to the peanut butter, but if you don’t like it, you can skip it completely. Enjoy
      Aarti 🙂

Thanks for the reply Aarti Mam,
But when we add no oil it sticks in mouth. Tried ur peanut butter and granola bar recipe. Both came out very well. The granola bars became instant favourite of the whole family.
Thanks for such a beautiful recipe.
