Today, I will show you how to make whipped cream at home in no time! There are several types of creams available in market and whipping cream is one of them. Whipped cream has high fat percentage from 33-40%. Here I will show you the prefect way to whip cream and get that silky smooth texture. Whipped cream is mainly used for topping cakes, cupcakes, various frostings, icing, pies, ice creams and several other desserts. Follow the simple tips & tricks that I have mentioned and you will successfully whip the perfect cream every single time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240ml) whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar/icing sugar

Steps in perfectly whipping the cream

  1. Keep the bowl in which you will beat the whipping cream in the refrigerator for atleast 20-30 minutes along with the hand beater blades or whisk.
  2. Now add the chilled whipping cream into the chilled bowl and with a hand beater or a whisk beat the whipping cream for around couple of minutes till it becomes slightly thick. (Start with low speed and then increase it to high)
  3. Further add vanilla extract and sieved powdered sugar and beat for another couple of minutes or until it forms stiff peaks.
  4. You can also use a whisk but it will take longer time to whip.
  5. Use this perfectly whipped cream for icings, frostings, ice cream, pies, etc.

Recipe Notes

  • Before whipping the cream make sure the cream and the bowl is chilled, else it won’t whip properly.
  • Whip the cream till it forms stiff peaks, don’t over whip else it will become buttery.
  • If the whipped cream becomes runny then put it in the freezer for sometime and whip it once again till it firms up.

      No it’s not compulsory, it completely depends on the amount of sweetness you like. The non-dairy whipping cream already has some sweetness in it so you should adjust it as per your taste.
