Indian Style Macaroni Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (200g) dry macaroni
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 small capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coriander/dhaniya powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin/ jeera powder
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • salt to taste

Steps In Making

To boil the macaroni
  1. In a pan add water and bring it to a boil. Now add salt and olive oil further, add the macaroni and boil it on a medium flame for around 10 minutes or until soft.
  2. To check if the macaroni is perfectly cooked, cut it with a knife and it will easily cut.
  3. Take a sieve/colander and rinse the excess water and now keep it aside.
For Macaroni Pasta
  1. Place a pan over medium flame and add oil in it. Once it becomes hot, add ginger and garlic and toss for couple of minutes or until it gets a golden colour.
  2. Now add onions and green chillies and cook for 3-4 minutes till it becomes translucent and get a nice golden colour.
  3. Add tomatoes and salt and mix well. Now cover it with a lid and cook for couple of minutes or until the tomatoes become soft.
  4. Now add capsicum and cook for another minute.
  5. Further add all the spices, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and tomato ketchup and mix well. Cook for couple of minutes.
  6. Now add the macaroni and mix until it’s well coated with all the veggies and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with coriander and serve hot!

Recipe Notes

  • You can add any veggies of your choice, like baby corn, sweet corn, zucchini, broccoli.

14. Now add tomato ketchup and cook for couple of minutes.

15. The macaroni masala is ready.

16. Add the boiled macaroni in it.

17. Now add the macaroni and mix until it’s well coated with all the veggies and cook for 2-3 minutes.

18. Garnish with coriander and serve hot!

19. Serve hot!
