Rose Milk Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • ½ cup corn flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup rose syrup
  • ¼ cup milk (cold or room temperature)
  • few drops of red food colour (optional)
  • pistachios for garnishing
  • rose petals for garnishing

Steps In Making

  1. Boil milk in a pan.
  2. Now add sugar and rose syrup and mix till the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. In another bowl add corn flour and cold milk and mix until smooth.
  4. Now add the corn flour slurry and the red food colour in the milk and while stirring it continuously cook for 3-4 minutes or till the mixture gets slightly thick. Do not overcook else the rose milk pudding will become hard.
  5. Immediately pour the rose milk pudding batter in the bowls and let them set in the refrigerator for upto 2 hours.
  6. Now gently separate the sides of the pudding with the help of your finger and transfer it on a plate.
  7. Garnish with some pistachios and rose petals.
  8. Rose milk pudding is ready to be served. This recipe makes 6-7 servings.

Recipe Notes

  • Do not over cook the rose milk pudding, else it wont remain very soft.
  • You can adjust the sugar as per your preference.
  • After adding corn flour slurry in the milk make sure you keep stirring it continuously else it will form lumps.
