Enjoy this quick 10-minute recipe of Suji Toast that you can have as a breakfast or a snack. It’s easy but delicious at the same time!

Ingredients
- 1½ cups semolina/suji/rawa
- ½ cup tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 1 cup onion (finely chopped)
- 1 cup red, green, yellow bell peppers (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon fresh coriander (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- 3-4 tablespoons butter
- 10 slices bread
- 1½ cups water

Steps In Making Suji toast
- In a large bowl add the semolina. Followed by all the finely chopped veggies, onions, red, yellow and green bell peppers, tomatoes and fresh coriander.
- Now add the dried spices, red chilli flakes, black pepper powder, oregano and salt and mix until well combined.
- Add little water at a time to form a nice thick batter, the consistency shouldn’t be runny. Now let it resat for around 7-8 minutes.
- Once done, generously spread the suji and veggies mixture on one side of the bread slice, leaving the other side plain. Similarly prepare all the suji toast.
- Place a tawa or pan over medium flame and add some butter on it. Now place the suji toast and toast them for couple of minutes from each side, until perfectly toasted.
- Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
- You can store the suji and veggies mixture in the refrigerator for upto a week.
Recipe Notes
- You can add any veggies of your choice.
- Immediately toast the bread after applying the suji mixture, else the bread will become soggy from the bottom.
Step By Step In Pictures For Suji Toast
1. In a large bowl add the semolina.

3. Now add the dried spices, red chilli flakes, black pepper powder, oregano and salt.
4. Mix till everything is well combined.
5. Add little water at a time, the batter shouldn’t be every thick nor thin.
6. Let the batter rest for 7-8 minutes.
7. Once done, generously spread the suji and veggies mixture on one side of the bread slice, leaving the other side plain.
8. Similarly prepare all the suji toast.
9. Place a tawa or pan over medium flame and add some butter on it.
10. Now place the suji toast and toast them for a minute.
11. Now turn and let it cook for another couple of minutes.
12. The suji toast has perfectly been toasted from both sides.
13. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
