Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 green chillies finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger finely chopped
- 6 boiled potatoes
- salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon amchoor powder
- water as required
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- fresh coriander
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps In Making Vrat Wale Aloo
- In a kadai heat ghee and then add cumin seeds, finely chopped ginger and green chillies. Now sauté for a few seconds.
- Now add boiled and diced potatoes. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until they get a light golden brown colour.
- Add salt, black pepper powder, amchoor powder and mix well.
- Now add water and let it simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Finally, add fresh coriander and lemon juice.
- Vrat wale aloo is ready, serve hot with vrat ka paratha or vrat ka pulao.
Recipe Notes
- You can skip the cumin seeds if you don’t eat them in vrat.
