Vrat Ke Aloo In 10 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger finely chopped
  • 6 boiled potatoes
  • salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon amchoor powder
  • water as required
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • fresh coriander
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps In Making Vrat Wale Aloo

  1. In a kadai heat ghee and then add cumin seeds, finely chopped ginger and green chillies. Now sauté for a few seconds.
  2. Now add boiled and diced potatoes. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until they get a light golden brown colour.
  3. Add salt, black pepper powder, amchoor powder and mix well.
  4. Now add water and let it simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Finally, add fresh coriander and lemon juice.
  6. Vrat wale aloo is ready, serve hot with vrat ka paratha or vrat ka pulao.

Recipe Notes

  • You can skip the cumin seeds if you don’t eat them in vrat.
