2 Healthy High-Protein Sandwiches

Healthy high protein sandwiches which are perfect low calorie, nutritious meals. These come very handy, especially when you are on getting late for work as they are quick and very easy to make and take very little time and effort.

Ingredients

High Protein Paneer Sandwich
  • 3 tablespoons hung curd
  • 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric/haldi powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garam masala
  • ¼ teaspoon amchoor/dry mango powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin/jeera powder
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh coriander
  • 2 tablespoons roasted gram flour/besan
  • 1 cup (150g) paneer cubes/cottage cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green capsicum
  • 2 tablespoons red bell pepper
  • 4 slices toasted brown bread
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced

Steps In Making

High Protein Paneer Sandwich
  1. To prepare the marination for the paneer, in a bowl add hung curd, mustard oil and all the dried spices- turmeric powder, dry mango powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder and salt.
  2. Add fresh coriander, chopped green chillies and roasted gram flour. Mix well. The marination is ready.
  3. Add the paneer cubes and lemon juice and gently give it a mix till the paneer is perfectly coated in the marination.
  4. Now let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  5. To prepare the filling, place a pan over medium flame and add half a teaspoon of mustard oil, once it turns hot add finely chopped ginger and cook for a minute.
  6. Further add the marinated paneer and 3-4 tablespoons of water and mix well.
  7. Cook for couple of minutes.
  8. Lastly add the red bell pepper and capsicum and cook for another 2 minutes. The paneer filling is ready.
  9. To make the paneer sandwich, take 2 slices of toasted brown bread and put 4 thinly sliced onions and tomatoes on it.
  10. Now add a large spoonful of the paneer filling and evenly spread it on the bread slice.
  11. Cover it with another toasted bread. The high protein paneer sandwich is ready.

10. Lastly add the red bell pepper and capsicum and cook for another 2 minutes.

11. The paneer filling is ready.

12. To make the paneer sandwich, take a slices of toasted brown bread.

13. Put 4 thinly sliced onions and tomatoes on it.

14. Now add a large spoonful of the paneer filling and evenly spread it on the bread slice.

15. Cover it with another toasted bread. The high protein paneer sandwich is ready.

  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 3 tablespoons capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh coriander
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon fat free mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 4 slices toasted brown bread
  • 2 iceberg lettuce leaves

  1. Take 2 boiled eggs and finely chop them. Now add them in a bowl.
  2. Further add finely chopped capsicum, spring onions, green chillies, salt, black pepper powder, fat free mayonnaise and dijon mustard and mix well. The sandwich filling is ready.

  4. Now add a large spoonful of the egg filling we prepared and evenly spread it on the bread slice.
