High-Protein Milk Powder

Ingredients

High protein powder
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup almonds
  • ½ cup cashews
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios
  • ¼ cup melon seeds
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
High protein milk
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons high protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon pistachios
  • 1 teaspoon almonds, roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon raisins, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon roasted makhana, roughly chopped

Steps In Making

High protein powder
  1. In a pan add oats and dry roast them for 2-3 minutes. Once done, keep it aside.
  2. In the same pan add almonds, cashews, walnuts and pistachios. Now dry roast them for 3-4 minutes or until they get a light golden brown colour. Now keep them aside.
  3. Now add melon seeds and pumpkin seeds and roast for 2 minutes, until they swell up. Now keep them aside.
  4. Similarly dry roast sesame seeds, flax seeds and poppy seeds for a minute.
  5. After all the ingredients have cooled down grind them in a mixer grinder on pulse mode until smooth. Do not grind in one go else the nuts and seeds might release its oil.
  6. With the help of a strainer sieve the high protein powder.
  7. Now add cardamom powder, black pepper powder and ginger powder. Mix till everything is well combined. High protein powder is ready. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for upto 2 months.
High protein milk
  1. Heat milk in a pan.
  2. Now add the protein powder and bring it to a boil.
  3. Further add chopped almonds, pistachios, raisins and roasted makhanas. Let it simmer on medium heat for a minute. The milk will become slightly thick.
  4. Serve hot.

Recipe Notes

  • You can add any nuts of your choice. If you do not like any nut or seed you can replace it with the one of your choice.
  • If you are making this protein powder for summers then skip the ginger powder.
