Main Equipments Used
-
- OTG – I use Bajaj 35-litre oven. You can find it on Amazon, here: https://amzn.to/2Q0OumQ
- Non-stick pan – I use the Prestige Granite 3-pcs set. You can find it on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2Q0OMu6
- Induction cooktop – I use Morphy Richards 1600 Watt Cooktop. You can find it on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2Jkn4px
Steps In Making
Apple sauce
- In a pan add chopped apples and juice and cook them over medium or low flame for 20-25 minutes or until soft and pulpy. Keep stirring them in the middle to avoid them from burning.
- Once done, add honey and keep it aside to cool.
- You can puree them in a blender if the apple pieces are too big.
Whole Wheat Banana & Walnut Cake
- Preheat the oven at 170C (338F) and line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter and parchment paper.
- In a large bowl add chopped bananas and mash them.
- Now add apple sauce and eggs and give it a good mix. Then add vanilla essence and milk and mix until well combined.
- In another bowl sieve whole wheat flour, cinnamon powder, salt, baking soda and almond flour. Then add chopped walnuts and mix again.
- Now add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients in two steps. Don’t over mix the batter else the cake will become hard and dense.
- Pour the cake batter in the prepared loaf pan. Now place it in the middle rack of the oven and bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with little crumbs attached to it.
- Let it cool down completely on a wire rack. The cake tastes better the next day.
- Store in an air tight container in a refrigerator for upto two weeks.
