Banana & Peanut Butter French Toast Rolls

If you are bored of the regular breakfast then try these delicious French toast rolls. They are quick and very easy to make.


To caramelize banana
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch salt
French Toast Batter
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
Assembling French Toast
  • 8 slices bread
  • 2-3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Chocolate syrup for garnish

Steps In Making

To caramelize banana
  1. To caramelize the bananas in a pan add oil and butter and once it turns medium hot, add the sliced bananas and toss for a minute.
  2. Now add brown sugar and cinnamon powder and mix well.
  3. Cook till the bananas till they get a nice caramilised brown colour on each sides. It will take around 2-3 minutes. Now transfer them on a plate till we prepare the rest of the things.
French Toast Batter
  1. In a wide mouth bowl add an egg, milk, powdered sugar, cinamom powder and mix till everything is well combined.
Assembling French Toast
  1. Take a bread slice and with the help of a rolling pin, roll till it becomes slightly flat and thin.
  2. Cut the sides with a knife.
  3. Now take some peanut butter and spread it on the bread slice, leaving the sides.
  4. Now place 2-3 caramelized bananas at the bottom of the bread slice and gently hold the bread and roll the same, till it forms into a roll.
  5. Dap some water on the edges of the bread and stick it with the other side to close the roll. The French toast roll is ready. Similarly make the rest of them.
  6. Now dip and roll the French Toast in the batter. They are ready to be cooked.
  7. Place a tawa/pan over medium flame and add oil and butter.
  8. Once it becomes medium hot, place the French toast on the tawa and let it cook for 2-3 minutes from each sides, till it get a nice golden colour.
  9. Garnish with chocolate syrup and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

  • You can replace peanut butter with chocolate spread.
  • Can use any fruits of your choice.
  • Always tap the sides of the bread with water, else they might open while cooking.
