To Boil Dal
- ¾ cup toor dal soaked
- ¼ cup moong dal soaked
- 3 cups water
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
Dal Palak
- 2-3 tablespoons ghee/clarified butter
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- ¼ teaspoon asafetida/hing
- ½ teaspoon ginger
